Sometimes you need to run CMD in an elevated mode (run as administator) to allow you to perform some tasks. There is 2 ways you can achieve this.
Option 1:
- Click 'Start'
- Type 'cmd'
You will see 'Command Prompt' come up. When it does, right click and select 'Run as administrator'.CMD as Administrator
option two: (Sometimes you're not able to load cmd from the Start menu so you wont be able to use option 1)
Load CMD by any means you have.
Once at the CMD prompt type the following.
powershell -Command "Start-Process cmd -Verb RunAs"
This will load a new CMD window with Administrator rights.
